Acoustic linoleum

Our acoustic linoleum floors combine the unique natural characteristics of a Marmoleum floor with increased impact sound reduction. This is achieved by a special insulating layer that is connected to the linoleum. In this way an impact sound reduction up to 18 dB can be achieved.

Forbo's acoustic linoleum contains Marmoleum Decibel (17 dB). Also, a Corkment underlay can be used in combination with regular Marmoleum to achieve an impact sound reduction of at least 14dB.

    Marmoleum Decibel

    Marmoleum Decibel is Forbo’s sustainable acoustic linoleum flooring solution that features a polyolefin underlay that provides a high acoustic performance of 19 dB (measured in accordance with EN ISO 717-2). Marmoleum Decibel offers effective noise reduction, is suitable for underfloor heating and allows for easy installation.

    Marmoleum Decibel is climate positive from cradle to gate. Supported by internationally recognized health and sustainability labels, it contributes seamlessly to leading building standards such as LEED, BREEAM, and WELL.

    The textures and colors are carefully curated to support a wide range of spaces, from education and offices to public buildings. The contemporary palette features 28 items from Forbo’s different Marmoleum structures, including Cocoa and Striato.
