TESSERA TRANQUILLITY JOINS FORBO’S EVOLVE+ LOW EMBODIED CARBON SERIES

Joining Forbo Flooring System’s Evolve+ series of very low embodied carbon carpet tiles is Tessera Tranquillity. The fifth addition to the series, Tessera Tranquillity is designed with enhanced sustainability in mind, with one of the highest recycled content by weight of any carpet tile collection and very low embodied carbon, all achieved without offsetting, the range offers a refreshed aesthetic, ideal for commercial projects.

Inspired by patterns created by the soothing ebb and flow of water or natural rock formations, Tessera Tranquillity offers a refreshing take on organic design. The range’s serenity lends itself perfectly to office and education environments, where comfortable and calming designs are a popular specification.

As part of Forbo’s Evolve+ series, Tessera Tranquillity delivers enhanced environmental credentials, produced using 100% ECONYL®, a regenerated polyamide 6 solution dyed yarn. The range contains 76% recycled content by weight, one of the highest in the industry, as a result of Forbo’s own lean production processes and the innovative yarn used within it. Manufactured using 100% renewable energy (electricity and biogas), it has a low embodied carbon from cradle to gate of 1.66kg CO2 per square metre eqv. (A1-A3), all achieved without offsetting and third party verified through an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

PERFORMANCE MEETS DESIGN WITH NUWAY CONNECT PLUS

Forbo Flooring Systems has expanded its Nuway Connect range of entrance matting, with the addition of Nuway Connect Plus.

With larger textile inserts and reduced aluminium strips, Nuway Connect Plus is able to accommodate more varied designs, including chevron shaping – typically, a bespoke offering. Forbo’s latest entrance flooring option is made to order, with the ability to create striking designs or logo mats. Available with a choice of four Coral Classic inserts, this allows the primary entrance system to be colour co-ordinated to the secondary matting zone. All inserts can also be replaced on site helping to extend the wear life of the product.

Made from 94% natural raw materials such as linseed oil, wood flour and pine rosin, Furniture Linoleum provides a soft and elegant matte surface finish to all kinds of surfaces, from kitchens to furniture, cabinetry, doors and more. Originally created to meet new workspace design scheme demands, Tessera Chroma was renowned for its contemporary aesthetic. Now, Forbo has updated this collection, not only refreshing its colour palette but also improving its sustainability credentials, with an impressive >80% reduction in embodied carbon.

Curated to complement workspace design trends, Tessera Chroma is a textured loop pile carpet tile collection with sophisticated and trend-led colours. The latest updates to the range see it join Tessera Topology, Tessera Create Space and Tessera Twine in Forbo’s new Evolve+ series, offering enhanced sustainability.

FORBO EXTENDS ITS SUSTAINABLE EVOLVE+ CARPET TILE SERIES WITH TESSERA TWINE

2024 saw Forbo Flooring Systems introduce the Evolve+ series of carpet tiles, designed for enhanced sustainability. Now, the manufacturer has added a new product to this collection: Tessera Twine. A softly striated loop pile carpet tile, Tessera Twine meets extensive sustainability criteria, while offering a beautifully balanced aesthetic.

As part of the Evolve+ series, Tessera Twine delivers enhanced environmental credentials, manufactured using Thrive® matter by Universal Fibers® - a 100% solution dyed nylon 6, which contains 90% recycled content. The Tessera Twine range contains 75% recycled content by weight, as a result of Forbo’s own lean production processes and the innovative yarn used within it. Manufactured using 100% renewable energy (electricity and biogas), it has a low embodied carbon from cradle to gate (less than 1.5kg CO2 per square metre eqv. A1-A3), achieved without offsetting.

FORBO EXPANDS DESIGN POSSIBILITIES WITH NEW TESSERA TEVIOT PHASE COLLECTION

Forbo Flooring Systems has enhanced its established Tessera carpet tile collection with the introduction of its new Tessera Teviot Phase design in plank format. The collection unlocks a wide range of new design possibilities, with a 100x25cm plank format that includes contemporary transitional stripes that co-ordinate with popular Tessera Teviot colourways.

Flotex leads by design

Forbo Flooring Systems has re-imagined its digitally printed textile range – Flotex, with the launch of new, exciting designs aimed at hospitality & leisure, education and offices.

Completely new to the Flotex offering, the organically inspired Flotex Advance range is split into Code and Latitude designs, with 39 contemporary patterns across a range of tones. Both are available in sheet and tile formats, with the sheet product benefiting from a new special ‘next’ backing, which means it can be installed adhesive-free or fully adhered.

The Flotex Code collection is subtly flecked, featuring 26 colourways, from neutral greys, to deep purples, allowing for smart and stylish interior spaces to be created. The Latitude range is formed of 13 organic patterns in light and dark shades, in a more neutral palette, perfect for workspaces and classroom environments.

Forbo partners with the Salvation Army to provide carpet tiles to support local communities

Forbo Flooring Systems, one of the UK’s leading flooring manufacturers, is proud to have entered into partnership with the Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL), supporting its Take Back scheme and furniture shops with donations of reusable carpet tiles.

With the focus on supporting local communities and prolonging its Tessera carpet tiles’ useful lifespan, Forbo will be supplying The Salvation Army with donations of surplus carpet tiles, lifted from corporate refurbishment and renovation projects. As part of the charity’s Take Back Scheme, the carpet tiles will be distributed to the charity’s furniture shops around the UK, providing communities with easy access to affordable and high-quality flooring.

FORBO LAUNCHES NEW DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY SAFETY FLOORING RANGE

Recognising the need for inclusive spaces, Forbo Flooring Systems has launched its new Surestep Balance range, a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant safety flooring that can fit the aesthetic and functional requirements for dementia-friendly environments.

Forbo Flooring Systems’ Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant Step safety vinyl portfolio has been updated, taking the whole collection to the next level. Incorporating new and on-trend aesthetics, while retaining the same trusted slip resistance, the refreshed Step collection caters to both design and safety demands in interior spaces.

Recognising the market demand for more sophisticated safety flooring solutions, Forbo has looked to provide a wider range of designs within its Step portfolio. Able to cater to a range of sectors, the refreshed collection features 63 new colourways, including the addition of new contemporary wood and stone designs alongside a new dementia-friendly range. In addition to this, Forbo’s Step safety vinyl contains the lowest embodied carbon on the market for safety vinyl, without the need for offsetting. FORBO CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF NUWAY

Forbo Flooring Systems is delighted to announce that 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of one of its most popular entrance flooring systems: Nuway, a primary barrier matting which has been manufactured here in the UK since 1924.

Forbo began producing rubber matting made from recycled material – matting that we now know as Nuway – back in 1924. Fast forward 100 years and Nuway remains the rigid entrance flooring system of choice for commercial buildings. In fact, around 18km2 of Nuway is hand-made every year and is installed within airports, train stations, shopping centres, offices and schools – to name just a few – across the world!

Forbo's New Allura Collection offers contractors readily available LVT stock

As part of its Allura Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) collection refresh, Forbo Flooring Systems has developed a new offering specifically designed for flooring contractors. The specially selected collection will provide contractors with a range of ‘off the shelf’ Allura options, available in a variety of installation constructions to ensure there is a solution for all applications.

Forbo understands the frustrations flooring contractors may face when looking to find the perfect flooring solution for their customers, which not only meets their design brief and is readily available, but also offers a range of installation methods to meet the conditions of the subfloor. However, with Forbo’s new Allura collection this is no longer the case.

Tessera Infused : Carpet Tiles Created To Meet The Needs Of Modern Workspace Design

Tessera Infused is the latest range to be added to Forbo Flooring Systems’ workspace portfolio. Combining a soft organic pattern with natural structures, the new carpet tile range has been designed to encourage a sense of well-being within any space.

Inspired by the elements and designed to work effortlessly within commercial interiors, Tessera Infused is a multi-height loop pile carpet tile, which provides a beautiful and organic mottled aesthetic. Available in 12 natural, earthy colourways from the light grey Morning Cloud to the copper-like shade Coral Dream, the colours within the collection have been designed to blend tonally with each other, as well as to closely match other Tessera ranges to create beautifully integrated flooring schemes. Not only this, but Tessera Infused can be combined with Forbo’s Allura Flex Vinyl planks and tiles using the same adhesive, without the need for transition strips, additional profiles or inconvenient build-ups of the sub-floor.
