How do you ensure that gypsum-bonded levelling compounds dry optimaly?
‘Of course, the same old rules apply here,’ says René van der Jagt. ‘In other words, ventilate well, otherwise the moisture will come back and always measure the residual moisture content of the floor before you start. Depending on the type of floor covering to be installed and the type and thickness of the anhydrite floor, the residual moisture percentage is determined. Usually the industry starts from 0.5%, but there are circumstances where it can start from 1.0%. Your technical sales adviser can assess this using a specific measuring method. If the residual moisture content is still too high, then to ensure good ventilation, place the material in the room on pallets, for example, so as to create airflow at the floor level.
